Plan hours

Your plan is a pool of monitoring hours.

The "8 hours a night" or "12 hours a night" on a plan is an average, not a nightly cut-off. What you actually get is a set number of monitoring hours for each billing cycle. Sleep nine hours one night and six the next — it all comes out of the same pool.

Plan Typical night it’s sized for Hours per cycle
Free trialabout 8 hours10 total
Standardabout 8 hours248
Extendedabout 12 hours372

The monthly figure is the typical night multiplied by 31, so even the longest month is covered end to end. The free trial's 10 hours are a one-time pool, given once per phone. They do not expire and they do not renew — spend them over as many nights as you like.

What counts

Only time actually spent monitoring.

Running out

You will always know before it happens.

Extra hours are spent last. Every night comes out of your plan first, and a pack is only drawn on once the plan’s hours for that cycle are gone — so a pack you buy and don’t need is still there next month. They never expire, and they carry across renewals until they are used. You can buy them under Settings → Subscription, or from the screen that appears when your hours run out. They are an occasional top-up, not a plan: if you need an extra 30 hours most months, the Extended plan costs less.

You can see exactly where you stand any time under Settings → Hourly Usage: hours used, hours left, and your reset date.
